I’M SO EXCITED HOLY CRAP

So excited I even drew something! Wow! That’s a first in like forever.
Have some starters because I love their designs, they’re super duper cute.
Simple poses because I’m still practicing my Pokémans. (simple background just because I’m lazy shh)
Hope they turned out alright. Let me know your opinion!
More Pokémon from me real soon ;D

You do realise this could very well become one of those "famous" very popular pieces here on DA... *is insanely jealous* :D Umm...a technical question... o.o Do you use a signal line to draw, or do you use line-weight? Like, is every line the same amount of pressure, or...yeah... >_> Because your lines appear super smooth that line weight doesn't seem necessary, but...I was never taught anything of the sort, so... ^^; I'm sorry to be such a bother...but, since I got my drawing tablet, I've been wondering...

Oh my goodness no you're too nice <3
I do indeed use line weight! :) so yes, when I press harder on the tablet, lines are thicker. And it's not a bother at all!
Alright, so basically, in photoshop, I try to complete a line in a single, fast swish. So, instead of going slowly over lines, which can cause it to wobble and lose it's weight, I just give a quick flick and keep 'Ctrl + Z'ing until I get it the way I want.
For example, one of my older works (oh god ew what was I thinking) [link] I used to go slowly over the lines. See how the lines aren't very strong? and are wobbly in some places? especially the tail.
But then, if you look at my newer works where I do the quick lines, they're much more strong, give good weight, and are much smoother. [link] [link]
it might be easier to see if you zoom in on all of these :)
I hope that helps? haha, not sure if I explained that properly.
I'd be happy to give any other tips if you need them! starting out with a tablet is hard work x'D

You know, I just found out how to sort out a setting on Illustrator that lets me use the pressure on my tablet to make thicker lines. It will make it easier. I actually have an idea... >_> Shall I tell you what gave me the inspiration for a drawing? I will. :) This song: [link] . A certain verse gave me the idea for a slightly abstract piece. But, I don't want to attempt until I get better with the tablet.

You know what's weird? You're younger than me (no offence) but you're better at digital art than me. Maybe because you've been doing it for longer...I dunno. ^^ Maybe you have more talent. 000.000 I'm thankful that you've given me some tips to help me get better. All this time I've wanted a drawing tablet, but it's not as easy as I imagined it to be!! ^^; It takes time!!
